On Monday May 26, 2008 I ordered two magicjacks. received the email that my order was received and being processed and that they would bill a $1.00 charge to the debit card that would verify the account. On Wednesday May 28 2008 we received a charge on our account for the total amount of $97.00. Normally this would not have been a big deal but after getting the e-mail I spent some money out of my account. this putting me overdrawn. you think "$97.00 put this fool overdrawn" Well I am disabled and my wife works as a cake decorator making $8.00 per hour. we have three children, just lost our home because of my disability and are living in a home that my father purchased just so that we would have a place to live. This being said a phone service that was only $40.00 per year was a God send to my family, the second unit I was giving to my father as there is not much I can do to repay his generosity. I tried to contact magicjack and found that there is no phone number and that the only way that anyone could talk to someone was to do the live chat. The live chat people were tech support and could not help (I am wondering if they are not under contract instead of employees of magicjack). After explaining the situation to them and asking them for a telephone number to contact to try and fix the problem I was disconnected from the chat. I tried this approach twice. At this point I don't know what to do other than send the units back to them when they get here and not do business with them again.
