Join me for a tan tax tea party this Thursday! We will board the banana boat tanning lotion cargo truck and squirt that bronzer all over the streets…
In protest of the recent tan tax! fight for your right to tan! I’ve switch political parties from the green party to the tan party.
That was the text message I received ago. Yes, it’s obviously a joke but the debate over a tan tax is true. If you are a tanner watch the video below and click here to learn how you can bypass this tax.
Why oh why does iTunes continuously add duplicate tracks to my collection? Aghhhh!!
Seriously, If there’s one thing that bugs me with all the iTunes problems; that’s it. All I want is for my music library to stay organized with the ability to easily burn cds.
Simple right?
Insert disk, select a playlist you want to burn, and click burn! You’d be surprised by how much of a hassle its been to burn a cd with some of the other media players out there.
Well, that was my problem…
Since I was already on the verge of downloading a new media player and instead of digging deeper into the iTunes culprit which adds duplicate tracks, I decided to review alternatives.
I downloaded media monkey. The additional features are what sold me.
First off, note My deciding factors for any media player download are the ease of cd burning from a playlist, like iTunes, the ability to keep my (your) library organized, along with a few others.
The media monkey album art is pretty cool too.
So far I’ve encountered one problem with media monkey but it’s now resolved. Media Monkey, by default, cross fades tracks out of the box. I find this annoying because I do not want to hear cross fading when I’m rocking out to every beat. I want my next track to start in rhythm. Ya know? =)
I couldn’t locate the disable cross fade anywhere but after a weeks of getting fed up with the cross face problem, I finally searched and found a forum post at the media monkey forum.
Could it have been so simple? Duh, LOL. Here is a short video explaining how to disable the cross face in media monkey. And thanks to this thread at the MM forum.
I have long been a fan of my current home town of Ventura, California. Not only because of the great weather and killer surf, but because of the gorgeous mountain ranges to the north and the killer beaches a few blocks away to the Southwest.
Although Ventura is a medium sized city with a population of about 90,000, I enjoy getting away from the city life and venturing back into nature in the beautiful City of Ojai (Official City Website). This majestic city is filled with joy, and a positive attitude which makes it a perfect vacation spot for those in need a “nature like/spiritual” get away.
Ojai is located about 20 minutes north of Ventura and is set in a awesome valley just up in the mountains. Ojai has been a getaway for many famous people throughout the years, especially for actors and high profile athletes. Many of whom love to golf and relax at the extraordinary Ojai Valley Inn and Spa, among other luxurious hotels in Ojai.
Ojai has a population of approximately 9,000 folks and is home to the Ojai Film Festival, which showcases independent films from around the world. It has also been a place of talk for many UFO buffs. Many people around the globe consider Ojai to be some sort of energy vortex. And I believe it too!
Yes it’s that time again, Christmas is just about to knock at the door and everyone is scrambling trying to figure out what the hot new items for 2009 are going to be.
While many youngsters are preparing their wishlists with hot new items like the Star Wars Force Trainer and musical Christmas train sets, most parents are still trying to figure out what the newest and hottest items for the 2009 shopping season are.
Fortunately for the parents, Holiday Shopping Network is showcasing new Christmas gifts and other highly recommended items such as gifts for him and gifts for her. It’s a great place for Christmas gift ideas.
Oh, and they will also be changing gift ideas to mirror the holidays. (Valentines gifts, Easter gifts, etc)
Now for the parents who are unsure that the Star Wars force trainer is, it’s a new toy that uses the power of the mind (yes power of the mind) to levitate a ball in a cylinder plastic tube. It’s pretty cool. You can read more about it at StarWarsForceTrainer.org. It’s a new generation in science toys and possibly a new generation in mind power too.
And for the younger ones who are still evolving their mental abilities. (No pun intended) what a better gift than a Christmas train set such as the Lionel Christmas train set. What parent could deny a cute voice saying “Mommy, I want a musical train for Christmas”? After all, a Christmas train set is a non-violent toy unlike many toys on the market today.
So put on your thinking hats, break out the white board, and start taking notes. Christmas is knocking.
